The resort community of Big Canoe has so much to offer!  
 In addition to 15 miles of hiking trails with beautiful waterfalls and nature trails, Big Canoe offers TWO Golf Courses (  27 holes )  of lush greens surrounded by crystal lakes, towering trees and majestic mountains!

Lake Petit, the largest of 3 lakes in Big Canoe, covering over 113 acres. The lake is stocked annually with rainbow trout. Canoes, fishing boats, sail boats and pontoon boats are available for rent. The Tennis Center offers courts both indoor and outdoor, and a state-of-the-art fitness center is complete with weight training, cardiovascular machines, racket ball, andan indoor lap pool.

Massage therapy andday-spa amenities are available. The Swim Club has activities for fun, exercise or just plain relaxation in the sun. A large pool and deck area have plenty of lounge chairs and tables located around the large pool (lifeguards on duty). The pool overlooks the beach and Lake Disharoon. The beach has volleyball nets, lounge chairs, paddle boats and canoes. A three-tiered rock slide is located off of Lake Disharoon inside the Swim Club area.

Things to do outside Big Canoe include: hiking at Amicalola Falls State Park and the Appalachian Trail, rafting, canoeing, horseback riding, biking, and shopping at the North Georgia Premium Outlet Mall.
